12 GB RAM and 96 GB storage
- The main system has 8 GB RAM and 64 GB storage. Android TV has its own 4 GB RAM and 32 GB storage.
Integrated HDMI switching
- An integrated 8K HDMI switch and audio splitter handles the player and external inputs. The manufacturer identifies the same hardware platform used by HDFury 8K VRROOM.
8K video and AV1
- Decode and output up to 8Kp60 HDR, upscale lower-resolution video or downscale for a 4K or 1080p display. AV1 and YouTube 8K HDR are supported.
Dolby Vision and HDR processing
- Play Dolby Vision profiles 5, 7 MEL/FEL and 8, including supported ISO, folder, MKV and MP4 files. VS10 handles SDR, HDR and Dolby Vision conversion.
Disc images and full menus
- Play Blu-ray and DVD images or folder structures from USB, internal SATA storage or SMB/NFS shares. Dolby Vision Profile 7 and full Blu-ray menus require online license verification.
Automatic frame rate and resolution
- Match the display output to the media, including the player’s flicker-free switching approach. Standard film and broadcast rates are supported; 120 Hz output remains experimental.
HD audio and lossless music
- Pass Dolby and DTS audio through HDMI, including TrueHD Atmos and DTS:X, or decode to PCM up to 7.1 channels. Play multichannel FLAC, SACD ISO, DFF and DSF.
Original audio sample rates
- PCM output retains the original sample rate from 44.1 to 192 kHz. Decoded multichannel DSD can be sent to HDMI as multichannel PCM.
Dedicated USB DAC connection
- One USB port includes extra noise filtering and a gold-plated connector for an external USB DAC.
43 cm metal chassis
- A steel enclosure with a brushed aluminum front fits a full-width equipment rack. The package includes 19-inch rack brackets and screws.
Passive and active cooling
- The chassis dissipates processor heat. A 120mm Noctua fan provides additional cooling for installed hard drives.
Isolated storage and network access
- Vibration-isolated HDD mounts reduce mechanical coupling to the chassis. Share connected storage and internal flash over SMB; access files from SMB or NFS servers.
Optional external power supply
- Use the built-in switching supply or an optional 12V DC supply rated at least 5.5A / 66W. Disconnect AC power before using DC input.
Main-system processing
- The S928X platform combines four ARM A55 cores with an ARM A76 core and Mali G57 graphics. The Android TV module has its own quad-core ARM Cortex-A55 processor.
Android apps on either system
- The main system runs Dune HD OS alongside Android 11 AOSP. The separate module runs certified Android TV 11 or higher; select the platform suited to the app.
Media-focused main system
- Dune HD’s Android Playback Accelerator manages resources for playback. The main system avoids Android indexing and unnecessary Android folders on connected drives.
Widevine L1 and certified apps
- Widevine L1 is supported. Google Android TV and Netflix certification apply to the dedicated Android TV system.
Wired and wireless networking
- Use Gigabit Ethernet or dual-band Wi-Fi 6 with 2T2R antennas. Bluetooth 5.2 supports remotes and compatible peripherals.
Two included remotes
- The main Bluetooth remote offers a microphone, Air Mouse, backlight, IR learning and IR mode. A separate Android TV remote is also supplied.
IR and front-panel control
- Use the built-in IR receiver or supplied external receiver. The display shows time, system and input status; front buttons select power and input.
Dune HD software ecosystem
- Use Dune Store apps, third-party plugins, skins and supported smart-home integrations. Dune HD maintains a shared firmware code base across its product range.
Movie library and mobile control
- Organize titles with My Collection, browse movie information and trailers, and control the player through Dune Control for iOS or Android and the IP control interface.

Setup & compatibility
Firmware and compatibility notes
Some functions require a firmware update or a particular app. Compatibility depends on the media encoding, application version, connected equipment and system configuration.
Streaming services vary by country and may require a subscription. Netflix and Google certification apply to the Android TV module; 8K playback belongs to the main system.
Internet access is required for Dune HD license checks when playing Dolby Vision Profile 7 files and Blu-ray images with full menus. Without it, these files use HDR playback or Lite Menu respectively. The manufacturer may change which functions require verification.
A 2.5-inch HDD or SSD requires a 2.5-to-3.5-inch adapter, available separately. Manufacturer drive-installation guidance.
For external DC power use 12V, at least 5.5A (66W), with a 5.5 × 2.1mm connector. Disconnect the AC input before using DC power.
